Milena Govich

 

Milena Govich, a Serbian actor, director and singer was born on in Serbia on October 29th in 1976. She is most well-known for her role as NYPD Detective Nina Cassady in Law & Order.

 

 Early childhood and education

 Govich was born in Norman, Cleveland County, Oklahoma. Her parents Govich, Dr. Bruce Michael Govich, who passed away in 1998, as well as Dr. Marilyn Green Govich,[2] are professors of music. Bruce was employed at the University of Oklahoma and Marilyn is currently a voice professor at the University of Central Oklahoma. Her father is Serbian and her mother has Scottish and English descent. Milica Govich is her aunt. She has been on TV, in films as well as Broadway.

 

 Milena graduated from Norman High School in 1995 as valedictorian in her class. In the footsteps of her academic parents she was able to graduate from the University of Central Oklahoma in 1995 as valedictorian. She was awarded a double degree, in performance and premedical studies, as well as the minor of violin and dance. Govich following her graduation, relocated to New York City in pursuit of an acting career.
